Custom Solution for Hastelloy C-2000 Plate Heat Exchanger

Tershion recently received a custom request from an Indian client for a plate heat exchanger designed to handle a 32% caustic soda (NaOH) medium, with a strict material requirement of Hastelloy C-2000 (Fe < 1%).

Our domestic standard material with Fe ≤ 3% could not fully meet the specification. To ensure reliable long-term operation in such a highly corrosive environment, our engineering team collaborated with the material supplier to confirm the feasibility of special alloy furnace production, optimized production processes, and evaluated cost and lead time impacts.

After thorough evaluation, the solution was finalized, and the production plan was confirmed. The plate heat exchanger can now be manufactured to meet the client’s requirements, ensuring safety, reliability, and long-term performance in high-corrosion conditions.
